**WHAT’S BREWING IN THIS ROLE...**
The Director of Sales \& Business Development to help scale the 7 Brew brand across retail and e\-commerce. This is a high\-impact, hands\-on role for someone who can build a growth engine across brick\-and\-mortar retailer stores \+ digital — and who’s equally comfortable closing a retailer as they are optimizing an Amazon strategy. You’ll own revenue growth, key retailer partnerships (regional and national), and go\-to\-market execution across channels. **THE FLAVOR YOU ADD...**
**Retail: Land, Expand, Win**
* Open doors and close deals with retailers across grocery, convenience, specialty, mass, and club.
* Own key account strategy and growth plans for top retail partners, driving strong performance through assortment optimization, merchandising, and promotional planning.
* Collaborate with marketing, trade, supply chain and operations teams to ensure successful launches, resets, restocks, promotions, and in\-store execution.
* Build distributor \+ broker relationships that expand our footprint and move product.
**Ecommerce: Build a Real Growth Channel**
* In collaboration with leadership, build and own strategy and growth for Amazon (1P/3P), DTC, and online retail partners.
* Collaborate with Shopper Marketing to drive conversion, velocity, and profitability through better content, pricing, promos, and digital merchandising and build performance programs that scale.
* Manage relationships with key e\-comm partners, brokerage agencies, or marketplaces.
**Build the Commercial Engine**
* Create the playbook: pipeline, CRM discipline, sales process, account plans, and operating rhythm.
* Build a team over time (starting scrappy, scaling smart).
* Collaborate cross\-functionally with Marketing, Category/R\&D, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to ensure execution matches ambition.
**Own the Number (Across Retail \+ Digital)**
* Own total sales performance across retail, Amazon, DTC, and key ecommerce partners.
* Build and execute growth strategy by channel — and adjust fast when the market changes.
* Develop forecasting and reporting that drives decisions, not confusion.
**Financial \& Strategic Planning**
* Own channel and customer P\&L performance including trade spend efficiency and gross margin impact.
* Partner with Finance to develop pricing models, promotional ROI KPIs/analysis, and long\-term forecasts.
* Provide executive\-level insights on market trends, competitor activity, and category dynamics.
**MUST\-HAVE INGREDIENTS...**
* 10\+ years of experience in
**CPG sales / business development**
, with real exposure to both
**retail and ecommerce**
. Food \& Beverage experience is strongly preferred.
* Proven track record closing \& meaningful retail \& distributor accounts and growing them.
* Strong understanding of
**ecommerce mechanics**
(Amazon strategy, digital shelf, conversion, online promo strategy, profitability) \& experience managing and growing ecommerce (Amazon, D2C.)
* Deep understanding of trade spend, margin, distributor \& retailer economics, and category management / retailer merchandising.
* You’re a builder — not someone waiting on a fully staffed team or perfect process.
* Strong executive presence, sharp negotiation skills, and a “let’s go” attitude.
* Existing relationships with major retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Kroger, Sam’s Club, etc.).
* Experience working with brokers, distributors, and retail sales agencies.
* Experience leading and developing teams, including cross\-functional leadership.
* Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline.
* Excellent communication, executive presence, and relationship\-building skills.
