**Position Overview**
Kin Euphorics is seeking a
**Director of Retail Sales**
to lead the company’s retail channel strategy and execution across the United States. This individual will be responsible for expanding national and regional retail distribution, managing key retail partnerships, and driving revenue growth across multiple retail channels.
The Director will play a critical leadership role in shaping Kin’s retail presence, including
**national grocery, natural retail, specialty stores, and large format retailers**
. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, operational excellence, and hands\-on sales leadership.
The ideal candidate has deep experience scaling beverage or consumer packaged goods brands through retail distribution and understands the complexities of
**modern trade, distributor networks, and retailer category management**
.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Retail Strategy and Business Planning**
* Develop and execute a
**comprehensive retail sales strategy**
aligned with the company’s overall growth objectives.
* Build and maintain detailed
**annual and quarterly business plans**
for key retail channels.
* Identify high\-priority retail partners and markets to accelerate national distribution.
* Lead retailer expansion initiatives including
**new market launches and category positioning**
.
* **Monitor and analyze industry trends**
within functional beverages, non\-alcoholic drinks, and wellness\-driven consumer products.
**Retail Account Management**
* Build and maintain strong relationships with
**key retail buyers and category managers**
.
* Manage strategic partnerships with national, regional, and specialty retailers.
* Lead negotiations related to
**pricing and margins, promotional calendars, slotting fees, trade spend, retail placement**
* Oversee retail performance across accounts to ensure
**sell\-through and brand visibility**
.
**P\&L Ownership \& Financial Management**
* Own retail channel
**revenue targets, sales forecasting, and profitability metrics**
.
* Manage
**trade spend budgets**
and ensure efficient allocation of promotional investments.
* Monitor margin performance and work closely with finance and operations teams to optimize pricing strategies.
* Provide regular reporting on sales performance, retailer growth, and key financial metrics.
* Partner closely with, marketing, supply chain, operations, finance, and product development
* Ensure successful execution of retail initiatives including product launches, promotional programs, merchandising strategies
* Coordinate inventory planning and demand forecasting with operations to support retail growth.
**Market Intelligence \& Competitive Analysis**
* Monitor competitive brands, category innovation, and evolving consumer trends in the functional beverage space.
* Provide actionable insights to leadership regarding retailer feedback and market opportunities.
* Identify opportunities to strengthen Kin’s positioning within the alcohol\-free and wellness beverage category
**Qualifications**
**Experience**
* 5\-10\+ years of experience in
**retail sales, key account management, or commercial leadership**
within beverage, CPG, or functional food categories.
* Proven success expanding retail distribution and scaling emerging brands.
* Strong experience working with
**national retail accounts and distributor networks**
.
* Launching new beverage products at scale in retail
**Skills \& Expertise**
* Deep understanding of retail sales strategy, category management, and retail economics.
* Strong financial acumen including
**P\&L management, forecasting, and trade spend optimization**
.
* Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into growth strategies.
* Excellent negotiation and relationship\-building skills with retail buyers.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross\-functional teams.
**Education**
* Bachelor’s degree in
**Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field**
.
* MBA or advanced business training is a plus.
