**About the Role**
The Director of National Sales is responsible for leading Palmer Hamilton’s national sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share across all regions. This role provides strategic direction and leadership to Regional Sales Managers and the broader sales organization while strengthening key relationships with dealers, manufacturer representatives, architects, and end users nationwide. This position leverages Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Experience (CE) to oversee national pipeline performance, forecast revenue, analyze sales trends, and ensure data\-driven decision\-making across the sales organization.
**Responsibilities**
* Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with company revenue goals and long\-term growth initiatives.
* Lead, coach, and develop Regional Sales Managers to drive performance, accountability, and consistent execution across all territories.
* Oversee national sales pipeline, forecasting, and performance metrics using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Experience (CE).
* Establish and strengthen strategic relationships with key dealers, manufacturer representatives, architects, and national accounts.
* Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and channels to expand Palmer Hamilton’s footprint.
* Drive consistency in sales processes, CRM utilization, and reporting across all regions.
* Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to align go\-to\-market strategies and ensure successful project execution.
* Support specification development efforts and influence product inclusion in national and large\-scale projects.
* Represent Palmer Hamilton at major national trade shows and industry events including EdSpaces, SNA, AIA, and ALA.
* Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and product development.
* Develop and manage national sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting for executive leadership.
* Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective escalation management and cross\-functional collaboration.
**Qualifications**
**Required**
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 8–10 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of leading multi\-region or national sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
* Experience using CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Experience (CE).
* Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
* Ability to travel frequently (50–70%).
**Preferred**
* Experience in contract furniture, education markets, or manufacturing.
* Experience working with architects and specification\-driven sales environments.
* Experience managing dealer networks and manufacturer representatives at a national level.
* Experience with strategic account management and large\-scale project sales.
