This senior\-level, hands\-on role is pivotal in transforming how our organization builds, delivers, and maintains software systems. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader and mentor, influencing DevOps standards and best practices across multiple teams. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving automated CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes environments, and supporting the modernization of legacy deployment processes. Your expertise will help ensure our platforms are secure, scalable, and highly available, supporting both internal and external credit union services. This position offers the flexibility of remote work with the option to be based at our Sandy, Utah location. It provides a unique opportunity to impact enterprise\-wide software delivery and operational excellence, collaborating with software engineers, systems administrators, and network engineers to drive innovation and efficiency. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or a minimum of 4 years combined education and experience in a DevOps role * 10\+ years of DevOps experience, including 3\+ years in a senior or principal role * Strong expertise in Windows and Linux systems administration * Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform * Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure * Hands\-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Octopus * Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration, including Kubernetes * Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash * Experience managing source control with Git * Ability to contribute to software development using C\#, MVC, .NET Core, or similar technologies * Familiarity with test automation frameworks for UI and API testing * Experience with MS SQL Server and automation tools like Postman or SoapUI * Strong understanding of IT security practices, including encryption and certificate management * Proven mentorship and leadership skills in DevOps practices * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Knowledge of banking or credit union environments is a plus **Responsibilities** * Advocate for and promote DevOps practices across the organization to foster a culture of automation and continuous improvement * Design, implement, and enhance fully automated CI/CD pipelines with embedded security, performance, and scalability considerations * Lead and support Kubernetes administration, including container orchestration and platform standardization efforts * Provide operational support to software and quality engineers, acting as a liaison between development and infrastructure teams * Modernize legacy deployment processes by increasing automation and reducing complexity * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to standardize technologies and streamline workflows * Troubleshoot and resolve system outages, providing off\-hours support for critical production releases * Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies such as microservices, cloud computing, and new DevOps tooling * Establish and maintain standards, documentation, and best practices that are scalable and accessible * Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, fostering skill development and best practice adoption * Support the entire software development lifecycle by guiding developers and quality engineers in DevOps processes **Benefits** * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package * Flexible remote work options * Opportunities for professional development and career growth * Collaborative and inclusive work environment * Access to cutting\-edge technologies and tools * Supportive leadership committed to innovation and employee success Equal Opportunity Mountain America Credit Union is an equal opportunity employer.
