The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Kubernetes, Namespaces, Bedrock, Sagemaker, VPN/VPC, and other key AWS services. This role focuses on enhancing cloud architecture, streamlining deployments, and ensuring optimal performance within our AWS infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure including Kubernetes clusters and VPC/VPN configurations. * Utilize AWS Bedrock and Sagemaker for machine learning model deployment and management. * Optimize resource allocation using Namespaces and other containerization techniques. * Collaborate with development teams to streamline CI/CD processes for fast and reliable software delivery. * Monitor system performance and security, troubleshooting issues as they arise. * Own and improve AWS cloud infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency * Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (build, test, security checks, deploy) * Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, environments, state management) * Standardize deployments across teams using GitLab CI or Bitbucket Pipelines * Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices * Improve security posture (least privilege IAM, secrets management, policy\-as\-code) * Collaborate with developers to automate releases and reduce lead time **Technical Skills:** * **AWS:** VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Load Balancing, Route 53 * **CI/CD:** GitLab CI or Bitbucket Pipelines, deployment strategies (blue/green, canary), approvals * **Terraform:** modules, workspaces/environments, remote state, drift detection, plan/apply workflows * **Containers:** Docker; Kubernetes/EKS or ECS fundamentals * **Scripting:** Bash and one of Python/Go for automation * **Security:** IAM best practices, secrets (SSM/Secrets Manager/Vault), SAST/DAST integration basics * **Observability:** metrics/logs/traces; CloudWatch \+ common tooling (Datadog/Splunk/ELK) * **Networking:** DNS, TLS, subnets, security groups, NACLs, VPN/private connectivity basics * **Collaboration:** Git workflows, code reviews, documentation, and runbooks **Experience:** * 5\+ years in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering (or equivalent) * 3\+ years hands\-on AWS and Terraform in production * Proven ownership of CI/CD pipelines for multiple services and environments **Nice to have** * EKS production experience (Helm, Argo CD/Flux) * Policy as code (OPA, Sentinel) and cloud governance practices * FinOps / cost optimization experience **Pay** The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: **$120,000 \- $140,000** . In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period. **Benefits** As a full\-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave.
