Job Description
DevOps Engineer (Full\-Time, Remote)
**Compensation: $1,800/month USD**
**Location: Remote (Pakistan / Sri Lanka preferred)**
**About Us**
We are a fast\-growing SaaS company building AI\-powered workflow automation software for small and mid\-sized businesses. Our mission is simple: help businesses simplify, systemize, and scale.
We are lean, fast\-moving, and execution\-focused. We value ownership, transparency, and measurable progress.
The Role
We are hiring a full\-time DevOps Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and production reliability.
This is not a passive support role.
You will be responsible for ensuring our product ships fast, runs reliably, and scales cleanly.
You will work directly with the founder and engineering team and will have high visibility and high ownership.
What You Will Own
You will fully own:
* CI/CD pipeline setup and optimization
* Staging and production deployments
* Cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP)
* Docker containerization
* Infrastructure documentation
* Monitoring and alerting systems
* Cloud cost optimization
* Security best practices implementation
If it touches infrastructure, deployment, or reliability — it’s your responsibility.
Weekly Expectations (Non\-Negotiable)
To ensure transparency and velocity, the following are required:
* Weekly Live Infrastructure Demo
Every week you will:
* Screen share live
* Demonstrate deployments
* Show CI/CD changes
* Review monitoring dashboards
* Review logs
* Explain improvements made
* Highlight risks
No written\-only updates.
* Weekly Infrastructure Report
You will submit a structured weekly report including:
* What was completed
* What was improved
* What broke and how it was fixed
* Cloud cost changes
* Security considerations
* Planned work for next week
* Infrastructure Documentation
You will maintain:
* Updated infrastructure diagram
* Deployment flow documentation
* Environment variable management documentation
* Disaster recovery notes
Documentation must stay current.
**Requirements**
Technical Requirements
You should have:
* 2–4 years experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering
* Strong AWS experience (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda preferred)
* Experience with GCP is a plus
* Docker experience (required)
* CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
* Linux server management
* Monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.)
* Basic security best practices knowledge
Bonus:
* Terraform or Infrastructure\-as\-Code
* Kubernetes exposure
* Startup experience
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who:
* Moves fast
* Takes ownership without being told
* Communicates clearly
* Flags risks early
* Is comfortable being accountable
* Wants long\-term growth
We do not want someone who:
* Waits for detailed instructions
* Disappears during production issues
* Juggles multiple full\-time jobs
* Avoids visibility
Performance Expectations
In your first 30 days, we expect:
* Clean CI/CD pipeline documentation
* Production deployment stability
* Monitoring fully configured
* Infrastructure diagram delivered
* At least one cost optimization initiative
In 90 days:
* Deployment time reduced
* Cloud cost efficiency improved
* Clear observability in place
* Security checklist implemented
**Benefits**
Growth Opportunity
