DevOps Engineer - Contract

Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer (Contract) \| AWS \| £500–£700/day **Advert:** We are supporting a business going through a significant platform and infrastructure evolution as they scale their product and customer base. They are looking for a Platform Engineer to help build and improve the foundations that engineering teams rely on. This role sits at the centre of engineering, with a clear focus on scalability, reliability and developer experience. **What you will be doing:** * Designing and improving cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) * Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines * Supporting containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes) * Driving improvements in system reliability, monitoring and observability * Working closely with engineering teams to improve deployment and release processes **What they are looking for:** * Strong experience in AWS (or similar cloud platforms) * Proven background in DevOps or platform engineering roles * Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation or similar) * Strong understanding of CI/CD and automation * Experience working in modern engineering environments **Nice to have:** * Experience in high\-scale or high\-availability systems * Exposure to security best practices (DevSecOps) * Experience improving developer experience at scale **Why this role:** * Opportunity to shape platform and infrastructure strategy * Work that directly impacts engineering velocity and product delivery * A business investing heavily in modern engineering practices
