DevOps Cloud Engineer II

**Job Summary** We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with strong hands\-on experience in Microsoft Azure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/AKS). This role will design, build, and operate secure, reliable cloud environments while partnering with development teams to streamline deployments, improve observability, and ensure production stability. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across build/release pipelines, Azure resource provisioning, troubleshooting, monitoring, and cloud migration support. **Job Requirement** 1. **CI/CD Engineering (Azure DevOps / Pipelines \& Releases)** * Build and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for application build, test, packaging, and deployments. * Implement pipeline automation for Azure Repos and standardize release processes across environments. * Build container images for applications using Docker files, including best practices around tagging, security, and artifact versioning. * Collaborate with developers to: * Modify configuration patterns to support secure and dynamic configuration injections. * Integrate Azure App Configuration and Azure Key Vault for secrets and configuration management. * Configure telemetry and structured logging using Azure Application Insights. * Manage secure pipeline integration: * Service connections, variable groups, Key Vault references, build tokens, environment approvals, and release gates. 1. **Azure Resource Provisioning (Cloud Infrastructure Delivery)** * Provision and manage Azure infrastructure through Azure Portal, ARM templates, and Terraform (preferred). * Deploy and operate Azure services including (but not limited to): * App Services, Container workloads, Azure SQL Databases * Service Bus, Event Grid * Azure Data Factory * Implement and maintain networking configurations: * VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints, routing, and connectivity patterns (as applicable). * Manage identity and access configurations: * Azure AD and Azure AD B2C app registrations, permissions, and secure authentication flows. 1. **Artifacts \& Package Management** * Maintain and optimize Azure Artifacts (NuGet feeds) for shared libraries and internal packages. * Enforce versioning standards and promote reuse with clear package lifecycle management. 1. **Logging, Observability \& Monitoring (End\-to\-End)** * Configure and operate Azure Application Insights, Log Analytics Workspaces, Azure Monitor * Ensure application and infrastructure logs flow correctly and are searchable, correlated, and actionable. * Create shared diagnostic queries and dashboards (e.g., trace a user/order journey through web/API logs to pinpoint failures). * Implement proactive alerting, SLO/SLA\-informed monitoring, and on\-call readiness where applicable. 1. **Operations, Troubleshooting \& Reliability** * Lead troubleshooting efforts, analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions. * Coordinate with engineering teams by providing Actionable diagnostics, recommendations, and remediation plans. * Improve platform reliability through better runbooks, automation, resiliency patterns, and performance optimization. 1. **Migration \& Transformation Support** * Support cloud migration and modernization programs: * Lift\-and\-shift, re\-platforming, and hybrid approaches. * Help stabilize workloads during and after migration, ensuring performance, security, and governance. **Required Skills \& Experience** * 4–5\+ years’ experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles. * Strong hands\-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, VNet, Load Balancer, Storage, IAM/RBAC. * Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, including Deployments, scaling, networking, security, and operational best practices. * Advanced Terraform skills like Modularization, state management, environments, automation and best practices. * CI/CD proficiency with one or more Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins. * Containerization expertise with Docker. * Strong scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python. * Solid understanding of Cloud architecture principles, networking, security, and reliability patterns. **Preferred Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. * Azure certifications (e.g., AZ\-104, AZ\-400\). * Knowledge of DevSecOps practices (security scanning, secret management, policy enforcement). * Experience working in 24/7 production support environments and/or on\-call rotations. * Experience with managed container platforms beyond AKS (optional). **Soft Skills** * Strong problem\-solving and analytical mindset. * Ability to lead initiatives and mentor junior engineers. * Excellent communication and cross\-functional collaboration skills. * Ownership mindset with a focus on reliability and performance.
