JOB TITLE: Deputy General Manager, OPD
FUNCTION: OPD
JOB LEVEL: EVP\-5
REPORTS TO: General Manager OPD
**Job Purpose**
Explain in one or two sentences the primary reason why this job exists.
Promote and facilitate projects with optimum balance between market presence and profitability. Pilot the team of OPD managers to secure maximum mass profit of entities and models covering both the product and region axis. Validate and strengthen the robustness of business proposals over entire model's life cycle.

**Principal Accountabilities**
3\.1 Principal Responsibilities
* Drive the analysis and investigation of profitability trends by the OPD team and coordinates the work of relevant Functions (M\&S, Finance, VVM, Monozukuri) to propose countermeasures to PD \& MC\-Chairman. Challenges timely implementation of identified countermeasures.
* Challenge and validate M\&S quarterly and ad\-hoc VME proposals to ensure healthy profitability and business integrity.
* Lead the cross\-functional work of relevant functions on Project milestones, ensure robustness of proposed business scenarios and secure its approval from Global Counterpart.
* Represent OPD function at relevant forums on behalf of OPD GM
* Review \& revise existing processes to secure competitive SOP timing of Product events based on market requirements and technical feasibility
* Challenge global counterparts to secure budget for product changes required to maintain competitiveness in the market.
* Coach, motivate and guide the team on achieving designated tasks
**3\.2 Applicable KPIs**
Functional KPIs :
* Secure PD approval on proposed business scenarios.
* Profitability \- Maximize through business efficiencies and ensure \& control profit impact
* Milestone management \- Assure price availability to NSCs at N\-2 order take
**Skills And Knowledge**
**EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:**
* Bachelor's degree in Management/ Investment Banking/ Engineering / Finance
* MBA would be beneficial
* Professional English skills are essential
* Working knowledge (read/write/speak) of at least 1 additional region\-specific or international language is advantageous
**RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:**
* 8\+ years in Consulting/ Investment Banking / Engineering with experience in Project Management or Product Marketing
* Project \& team management
* Finance skills \& knowledge (intermediate level)
* Experience managing stakeholders including conflict resolution
* Experience working cross\-functionally within an international environment is essential
* Knowledge \& experience within the automotive industry would be an added advantage
**PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS \& BEHAVIOURS:**
* Consensus management and influencing skills
* High interest in supporting establishment of company strategy and related activities
* The ability to present complex topics in a simply \& succinct manner is essential
* Effective communication and strong negotiation skills are essential to closely work with multiple cross\-functional teams:
* Internally \- Marketing, Sales, Vehicle Volume Management (VVM), R\&D, Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS), Product Planning (RPM), Finance, Project Economic Control (PEC)
* Externally \- Program Director (PD), Chief Vehicle Engineer (CVE), Chief Marketing Manager (CMM), Corporate Planning, PEC
