Data Scientist

**New Role \- Applied Data Scientist (Specialty Insurance)** This role will apply advanced analytics and modelling to improve risk selection, pricing decisions, and claims insight across speciality insurance lines including *Renewables, D\&O, Credit and Marine* . The role will sit at the intersection of underwriting judgement, actuarial thinking, claims insight, and modern data science and will involve a secondment into the Innovation team, helping shape a cross\-line analytics capability that strengthens decision\-making across the underwriting lifecycle. **The Candidate \-** * Between 2\-5 years' experience in an insurance pricing team * Strong applied data science capability \- using Python/R to apply statistical modelling and machine learning techniques * Understanding of statistical and analytical foundations \- probability theory, GLMs, time series analysis * Comprehension of modern machine learning techniques and modelling approaches \- random forest, XGBoost, GBMs * Solid SQL, data handling and data visualisation skills Salary \- £60,000 \- £100,000 Location \- London (Hybrid) If you're a data scientist with insurance experience then please get in touch via email \- ***holly.ellenthorpe@eamesconsulting.com***
