**Job Title – Data Scientist** **Period – 8 months** **Location – Toronto, ON** **Work mode : Hybrid – 3 days** **Overview** We are hiring a Data Scientist with experience supporting sales workflows to contribute to data preparation, insight generation, and evaluation activities for our GenAI\-powered sales enablement platform. This role suits someone blending strong analytical skills with understanding of sales team operations. Should own moderate\-scope analytics projects, translate data into business recommendations, and work across diverse data systems. **Responsibilities** * Prepare, clean, and analyze datasets for training, validating, and evaluating LLM\-based or GenAI features. * Collaborate with product, sales, and business stakeholders to understand workflows, data requirements, and key performance metrics. * Build dashboards and reporting assets to track adoption, performance, and business impact of sales enablement tools. * Support prompt evaluation, annotation, and quality assurance for AI\-generated outputs. * Contribute to structured knowledge bases, taxonomies, and metadata for RAG\-based systems. * Generate actionable insights to optimize sales processes and improve user experiences. * Develop analytics\-enabled solutions supporting business goals; deliver complete moderate\-complexity projects. * Analyze complex datasets and connect sources across multiple internal systems. * Translate findings into business language and recommend solutions to stakeholders. * Document data sources, support structured processes, and enable closed\-loop tracking for improvement. * Engage subject matter experts, build internal networks, and provide guidance to junior team members. **Qualifications** * 3–5 years as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar, ideally in sales support/operations. * Strong Python skills. * Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). * Experience with sales datasets; insurance workflows a plus. * Ability to turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses. * Curiosity about GenAI, LLM workflows, and evaluation techniques. * Bachelor’s in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. * Knowledge of statistical methods (regression, clustering, PCA, decision trees, survival analysis) and ML techniques. * Experience with large/diverse datasets, data modeling, relational databases, and basic AI/ML toolkits. * Strong communication for business partners and solution ideation. **Must\-Have Skills** * Strong problem\-solving mindset. * GitHub/Git proficiency. * ML fundamentals (EDA, feature engineering, model testing). * LLM expertise (context engineering, prompt engineering, guardrails). * Excellent communication (translating technical concepts to business terms). ***Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
