You have to demonstrate coding a basic ML algorithm. (The interviewer will give you the algorithm description if you don’t already know it.) If you have deep knowledge of the Python sklearn package, this tends to be a good signal. This is like implementing a part of something that’s inside the sklearn package. GenAI/LLM Apps: You will have to demonstrate knowledge of specific LLM app construction and prompting techniques. All of these are very specific and carry trade\-offs, and they’re all relatively new, within the past 24 months. You need to know those trade\-offs. In addition, you will have to be able to consider how to design an instrument/maintain/improve an entire LLM App system. The interviewer expects you to articulate your ideas and describe the tradeoffs clearly.
