**Customer Service / Counter Sales Representative**

General Manager

**Position Summary**
The Customer Service / Counter Sales Representative is the first point of contact for customers visiting, calling, or emailing our business. This role is responsible for assisting contractors, builders, and homeowners with product selection, pricing, order entry, and order coordination.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and customer\-focused, with the ability to manage multiple requests while ensuring orders are accurate and delivered on time.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Customer Service**
* Greet and assist customers at the sales counter, on the phone, and via email.
* Provide product information and guidance on trim, doors, hardware, and related building materials.
* Build strong relationships with contractors, builders, and walk\-in customers.
* Resolve customer issues or escalate them when necessary.
**Sales \& Order Processing**
* Prepare quotes and process sales orders accurately in the company system.
* Assist customers with product selection and alternatives.
* Follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries.
* Operating within the computer system to track, manage, and complete orders.
**Order Coordination**
* Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.
* Communicate order status and delivery timelines to customers.
* Manage backorders and special\-order items.
**Inventory \& Merchandising**
* Maintain an organized and professional sales counter and showroom.
* Monitor stock levels and notify purchasing when items are low.
* Assist with receiving or verifying orders when required.
**Administrative**
* Maintain accurate customer records and order documentation.
* Process returns, credits, and adjustments when needed.
* Support general office and operational tasks as required.

**Qualifications**
* 2\+ years of customer service or sales experience (building materials industry preferred).
* Knowledge of trim, doors, hardware, or construction materials is an asset.

* Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast\-paced environment.
* Comfortable using order entry systems, email, and basic office software.
* Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
