**The Andrew Simpson Centre based at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy on Portland are delighted to be recruiting for an Customer Service \& Bookings Assistant to join their vibrant team and aid the smooth running of the centre, working with our customers and taking on reception, front of house and administrative duties.**
The ideal candidate for this role will be friendly and approachable, organised, able to multi task, have good customer service skills and a working knowledge of various computer programmes.
**Key tasks \& Main Duties:\-**
**Reception:**
* Answer phone calls, greet walk\-in enquiries and answer general enquiries emails. This will involve answering questions, promoting centre activities and ultimately generating bookings for the centre where possible.
* Represent the centre in a friendly, professional manner and keep the reception and public areas clean, tidy and well presented.
* Prepare relevant paperwork for all centre activities – schools, groups and individual bookings, ensuring the instructing team have all the information they need.
* Operate as touch point for parents at the start and end of the day.
**General Administration:**
* Assist with centre admin tasks to ensure the smooth running of the centre, including but not limited to; monitoring and ordering stocks of cleaning resources, RYA books and certificates.
* Assist with digital marketing where relevant – for example taking photos and creating content.
* Chasing outstanding payments and required customer information.

**Working Hours:**
This is a seasonal role up to 40hrs per week, part time working hours may be available. This may include weekends, typical working hours are 8\.30am to 5\.00pm.
**Knowledge \& Qualifications:**
* Knowledge of sailing and the watersports industry *(Desirable)*
* Comfortable working with various computer programmes, including but not limited to Microsoft Office programmes *(Essential)*
* Experience working with a CRM system, such as Salesforce *(Desirable)*
**Experience:**
* Customer service or front of house experience *(Desirable)*
* Administration experience *(Desirable)*
**Skills:**
* Excellent demonstrable customer service skills *(Essential)*
* Good communication skills, confident on the phone, meeting and greeting people in person, and writing emails *(Essential)*
* Good time management skills and ability to prioritise competing tasks *(Essential)*
* Good team working skills *(Essential)*

**About the Andrew Simpson Centres and Foundation**
We run four not\-for\-profit centres in Portland, Portsmouth, Reading and Birmingham in the UK which support the Andrew Simpson Foundation. Over 30,000 individuals are now participating at our centres which are continuing to be developed year on year.

Job Type: Full\-time
Salary: £10\.85 per hour to £12\.71 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
* ASC Portland, DT5 1SA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
