Our infrastructure engineers work closely with developers to build secure, scalable, and reliable environments for modern cloud\-based applications. The Role We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help design, operate, and continuously improve the environments that run our applications and those of our clients. In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle of our infrastructure: designing and implementing environments, maintaining and monitoring production systems, and improving developer workflows such as deployment and CI/CD pipelines. We work closely with development teams to ensure that applications run reliably, securely, and efficiently in production. You will work with Linux\-based systems and modern infrastructure tooling to build and operate containerized applications and cloud environments. You will help automate infrastructure, improve observability and operational processes, and ensure that our systems meet high standards of reliability and security. You will have significant influence on how infrastructure is designed and operated for the systems you work on. Key Project: Secure Financial Infrastructure As part of this role, you will work on a platform developed for a client in the financial sector. The system is delivered as a complete service, where we are responsible for both the application and the infrastructure it runs on. The platform operates in a highly regulated environment and must meet strict requirements for security and compliance with financial regulations. It also integrates with external authorities and oversight systems, which places additional demands on operational reliability and traceability. 1You will contribute to the development and operation of the cloud infrastructure that supports the platform, helping ensure that it runs in a controlled and dependable environment suitable for critical financial services. This project offers the opportunity to work with infrastructure where security and accountability are foundational design considerations rather than later additions. The platform is built for long\-term stability and predictable operations in a context where systems must withstand both operational demands and external scrutiny. What you’ll get to do ● Configure, administer, and automate Linux\-based infrastructure ● Build and maintain automated deployment and integration pipelines ● Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve production systems ● Design and operate high\-availability infrastructure, including failover between datacenters ● Implement infrastructure automation and configuration management ● Ensure strong security practices, including secrets management, access control, and secure system configuration ● Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies ● Work closely with developers to diagnose and resolve issues in production environments Core Technologies Kubernetes OpenStack Docker Ansible Git CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins Nginx Let’s Encrypt PostgreSQL Microsoft SQL Server Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure To succeed in this role, we believe that you ● Have strong Linux knowledge and are comfortable operating production systems Have experience designing and operating infrastructure for modern applications Are familiar with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes Have experience with OpenStack environments (a plus) Enjoy automating infrastructure and operational processes Have a strong awareness of security best practices in infrastructure and operations Are comfortable working with cloud platforms, regardless of provider Understand the importance of reliability, redundancy, and failover in production environments Collaborate well with developers and enjoy solving operational challenges together Are fluent in Swedish and English 2Working at Avidity At Avidity, you will work closely with developers and infrastructure specialists across our offices in Berlin, Stockholm, and Porto Alegre.
