They will work with the VP, Clinical Excellence, Population Health leaders, and market teams to develop and implement programs and operations in support of organization\-wide clinical quality, clinical pathway audit, patient safety programs and organization wide clinical policies. When applicable, the person will coordinate activities related clinical regulatory requirements in support of external interfaces to demonstrate compliance with health plan partners and external regulatory entities regarding clinical audit. The position will work closely with the clinical and market operations leaders to ensure coordination and integration of efforts to improve clinical quality and ensure patient safety. **Essential Duties And Responsibilities** **Patient Safety** * Leads identification, investigation, root cause analysis, and risk mitigation efforts related to patient safety occurrences and near misses. * Coordinates root cause analysis and recommends performance improvement activities to address safety events and near misses. * Compiles patient safety investigation findings and communicates to appropriate leaders within the organization. * Communicates assigned actions from investigation and follows up to ensure timely completion. * Tracks and trends patient safety events and contributing factors; supports analysis to identify patterns, high\-risk processes, and opportunities for improvement. * Communicates patient safety concerns to appropriate leaders using clear, factual, and objective language. * Develops and maintains patient safety training materials, job aids, and reference documents. Provides training and guidance on patient safety policies, procedures, and workflows. * Demonstrates a consistent commitment to patient safety including promoting a Just Culture. **Quality of Care** * Conducts quality audits regarding clinical staff adherence to clinical pathways, policies, procedures, and workflows. * Supports clinical quality improvement activities including data review, audits, and reporting. * Monitors key clinical pathways reports, applicable dashboards, and other reports for all markets and products. * Compiles clinical pathway audit findings and communicates to Clinical leadership. * Tracks and trends clinical pathway audit findings; supports analysis to identify patterns, high\-risk processes, and opportunities for improvement. * Collaborates with the VP, Clinical Excellence to communicate audit findings and opportunities for process improvement specific to audit finding consistent with the organization’s vision and strategic long\-term goals. * Participates in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data relevant to delegation oversight including conducting clinical audits. * Completes ad hoc audits and investigations as requested from Clinical, Population Health, and Compliance leaders. **Clinical Compliance** * Monitors and ensures compliance with state, federal, and accreditation body clinical practice standards. * Partners with Legal and Corporate Compliance to develop Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs) that meet state requirements for each market. * Monitors and oversees Advance Practice Provider (APP) and Pharmacist CPAs across the organization to ensure compliance requirements are met. * Coordinates with aCMOs to determine physician supervision assignments for APPs and ensures alignment with state physician supervision limits. * Provides ongoing reporting to aCMOs on completion of compliance requirements. * Ensures CPA oversight procedures and requirements are understood and adhered to by the market Clinical leadership. * Researches, determines, maintains, and updates clinical scope of practice requirements for each market. * Establishes organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and organizational consistency. **Qualifications** * Current RN License in good standing in the state of practice required * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related work experience. Master’s degree preferred * Four or more years of clinical experience * At least 2 years quality, patient safety, clinical audit and/or clinical policy experience * CPHQ or CPPS certifications highly preferred * Ambulatory provider\-based experience highly preferred * Geriatric care experience highly desired * Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid highly desired * Training tool development and course delivery experience a plus * Strong problem\-solving and organizational skills * Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally * Demonstrated ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks with minimal supervision and meet deadlines * Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and work well with others on a team * Proficient in computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), able to create and analyze data and reports *Base Salary/ Wage Range* ***$85,000\.00 to $95,000\.00 plus annual bonus*** *.
