**Civil Water Engineer** Hours \- 37\.5 per week Hybrid Working A leading global engineering and project delivery organisation is seeking an experienced Civil Water Engineer to join its multidisciplinary design team. The role offers strong opportunities for professional development while contributing to technically challenging programmes within the water sector. **Key Responsibilities** * Coordinate or manage a team of Civil Water Engineers delivering technical design work on complex multidisciplinary projects * Deliver high quality engineering solutions across areas such as hydraulics, wastewater and clean water infrastructure, water reuse and pipeline design * Produce and review technical deliverables including design reports, calculations, drawings and scopes of work * Provide technical input into project design and support project teams in managing programme timelines and budgets * Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and wider project teams to deliver integrated design solutions * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting capability development within the team * Work independently where required, applying sound engineering judgement to solve complex technical challenges * Contribute technical expertise to bid and proposal submissions * Ensure adherence to quality assurance processes, including checking and reviewing both personal and team deliverables **Candidate Requirements** * Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline * Proven experience coordinating or managing civil water engineering design delivery within a consultancy environment * Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams across complex infrastructure projects * Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, including collaboration with contractors and delivery teams * Practical experience in risk management, design coordination and quality assurance processes * Strong knowledge of current engineering standards, codes and best practice within water infrastructure design * Ability to work independently and apply engineering judgement to technical challenges * Demonstrated experience within the water sector * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly across multidisciplinary teams * Proactive, collaborative and motivated approach to delivering high quality engineering outcomes This role offers the opportunity to work within a forward thinking engineering environment, contributing to major infrastructure delivery while developing technical and leadership capabilities within a supportive team
