Job Description

This is a full\-time hybrid role for an Electrical Engineer based in Edmonton, AB,
What to Expect
* Serve as a project manager on select projects and lead design engineer on others
* Prepare planning and design documents, process calculations, and engineering standards
* Lead QA/QC efforts and advise on complex projects
* Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and technical staff
* Travel to job sites and attend client meetings as required
* Serve as a technical resource for projects and estimating
* Continuously improve efficiency, performance, and safety
* Mentor and develop less experienced engineers
* Seek industry expertise to advance skill sets
* Proactively identify improvements in quality, cost, and safety
What You'll Do
* Perform structural engineering design, analysis, calculations, drawings, and specifications for concrete and steel projects
* Design and modify industrial structures and systems for one or multiple projects
* Interface with customers, suppliers, and construction teams throughout all project phases
* Independently apply engineering techniques with judgment for minor adaptations
* Prepare conceptual and detailed designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on plans, elevations, and design documentation
* Apply structural engineering principles, codes, and standards
* Consider construction cost, environmental factors, regulations, and risk analysis
* Interpret and apply local, state, and international building codes
* Specify materials and review supplier submittals and test reports
* Present technical information for review and implementation
* Provide material take\-offs and cost estimates
* Perform duties primarily in an office setting with required communication and physical capability
What You'll Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Structural focus)
* Minimum 10 years of industrial civil/structural engineering experience
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Proficiency in STAAD Pro, RISA
* Ability to travel and conduct field assessments
* Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license
* Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, 2D/3D CAD, Bluebeam, NavisWorks, SPMats, Enercalc
