Job Description
We are looking for a
**Building Envelope Project Manager / Engineer**
to support restoration and building envelope consulting projects in the
**Bridgewater, Massachusetts area**
.
This role is responsible for managing the evaluation, design, and construction oversight of building envelope and structural restoration projects. The position combines engineering analysis, project coordination, and technical documentation while working closely with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
This is an
**in\-office role**
requiring daily presence Monday through Friday and offers an opportunity to contribute to complex building restoration and infrastructure improvement projects.
**Responsibilities**
* Manage building envelope and structural restoration projects from evaluation through construction completion
* Perform building condition assessments and forensic investigations of structural and envelope systems
* Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, and project documentation
* Develop bid documents including specifications, drawings, and contractor bid packages
* Provide bid assistance and contractor coordination during procurement phases
* Oversee construction administration including site visits, progress documentation, and quality review
* Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to maintain schedule and technical standards
* Evaluate existing structures and recommend repair or rehabilitation strategies
* Maintain project records and ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards
**Requirements**
* Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
* Minimum 5 years of experience supporting building restoration, structural repair, or building envelope consulting projects
* Engineer\-in\-Training (E.I.T.) required; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred
* Experience preparing bid documents, technical specifications, and construction drawings
* Background in building envelope evaluation, structural forensics, design development, and construction administration
* Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce clear engineering documentation
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with contractors and project stakeholders
* Valid Massachusetts driver's license and ability to travel locally to project sites
