Chief Resident Engineer

**Job Description** Are you a seasoned engineering leader ready to make a significant impact on a critical infrastructure project? We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient  **Chief Resident Engineer**  to oversee construction in Awaran, Pakistan. This is a vital  **Contractual**  opportunity for a professional passionate about delivering excellence in dam engineering and project management. **Key Responsibilities** * **Lead**  and oversee all on\-site engineering activities related to the construction of the dam project, ensuring adherence to design specifications, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. * **Manage**  and supervise a team of engineers, technicians, and site personnel, providing technical guidance, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative work environment. * **Oversee**  the implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures, ensuring all construction activities meet the highest standards of quality and safety. * **Administer**  FIDIC contracts, including managing claims, variation orders, and Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), ensuring all contractual obligations are met effectively and efficiently. * **Conduct**  thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle, proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges. * **Coordinate**  effectively with clients, stakeholders, and vendors, maintaining open communication channels to ensure project success. * **Monitor**  and control project progress against the construction schedule, making necessary adjustments to ensure timely and within\-budget completion. **Required Qualifications** * **Education:**  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Hydraulic, or related field) from an accredited institution. * **Experience:**  Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in dam engineering and construction, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. * **Professional Registration:**  Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or PE (or equivalent) is essential. * **Technical Skills:**  Demonstrated expertise in dam engineering, hydraulic engineering, construction supervision, design analysis, and CAD software. * **Project Management Skills:**  Proven ability to manage complex construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and progress monitoring. * **Contract Administration:**  Extensive knowledge of FIDIC contracts and experience in contract administration, including claims management and variation orders. * **Communication \& Leadership:**  Excellent communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders. * **Specific Expertise:**  In\-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), environmental and social safeguards and project reporting. * **Language Proficiency:**  Fluency in English (required) and Urdu (preferred). **Preferred Qualifications** * Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant engineering field. * Specific certifications related to dam engineering or construction management. * Experience working on projects in similar geographical and environmental conditions. **What We Offer** We offer a  **competitive compensation**  package commensurate with experience and expertise.
