Chief Accountant

We are seeking a results\-driven and detail\-oriented Chief Accountant to lead our finance function and ensure full compliance with financial and tax regulations. Qualifications \& Requirements: • Minimum **7\+ years** of progressive experience in accounting and finance • Strong **knowledge of IFRS** and financial reporting frameworks • Proven expertise in **UAE VAT and Corporate Tax** regulations • Experience in the **poultry/agriculture industry is highly preferred** • Hands\-on experience with ERP systems and financial controls • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision\-making skills Key Responsibilities: • Lead and oversee the **end\-to\-end accounting cycle** , including GL, AP, AR, and closing processes • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS • Manage and supervise VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, including filings, reconciliations, and submissions • Act as the main point of contact for FTA matters, tax audits, and regulatory inquiries • Strengthen and maintain internal controls, policies, and financial governance frameworks • Lead the month\- **end and year\-end closing process** , ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis reports to support strategic decision\-making • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance indicators • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies • Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function
