Job Type: Full Time Job Category: IT Job Description **Role**: Calibration Engineer **Location:** Columbus, IN \& Detroit, MI **FTE** **Job Description****Must Have Technical/Functional Skills** § Expertise in CAN J1939 communication protocol. Must be able to understand and interpret J1939 messaging. § Basic understanding of how control system function. § Strong understanding of ECU CAN J1939 communication diagnostic concepts and strategies. § Proven background in embedded controls and CAN J1939 testing/validation. § Understanding of control algorithm and calibration of engines parameters. § Experience in coordination and collaborate with cross\-functional teams, like system integration team, and software team. § AUTOSAR application development would be an added advantage § Experience in CAN, OBD, UDS Protocols § Experience in handling of OEM calibration tools. § Expertise in C Programming language § Skilled in communication, presentation, documentation and teamwork. **Roles \& Responsibilities** § Act as the owner for all ECM CAN J1939 related diagnostics, including completing required testing and conducting phase reviews. § Tune, calibrate, validate and test all the ECM CAN J1939 messages required for a given EBU On\-Highway engine program to seamlessly integrate with OEM ECU controllers/Smart Aftertreatment sensors/Telematics etc. § Investigate ECM communication CAN J1939 issues related to customers/OEMs, test vehicles, or test cells, understand root causes, and recommend effective solutions while documenting outcomes clearly. **Generic Managerial Skills, If any** Managing the program changes and coordinating with team Support team in performing root cause analysis Proven track record in technical problem\-solving and quality decision\-making.
