With four IG\-rated businesses, it is the only Infrastructure Investment Grade issuer in India. **Adani Power Limited (APL):** Adani Power Limited (APL), a part of the diversified Adani Group, is the largest private thermal power producer in India.We have a power generation capacity of 15,250 MW comprising thermal power plants in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand, and a 40 MW solar power project in Gujarat. **Job Purpose:** This role is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive fuel management process for the entire region, including sourcing, logistics, compliance, contracts, and stakeholder management. This role ensures efficient coal procurement and timely delivery, monitors regulatory compliance, and maintains strong relationships with external stakeholders such as Coal India subsidiaries and railway authorities. ****JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**** **FM Regional Head (Logistics \& Operations)** ****Fuel Sourcing And Quality Management:**** **Logistics and Rake Scheduling:** ****Budgeting, Contracts, And Financial Management:**** Prepare and manage budgets for fuel procurement and resource allocation. Oversee the creation and finalization of tripartite agreements with Coal India subsidiaries, quality testing agencies, and Adani. Ensure timely processing of payments through Letters of Credit (LC) for coal procurement. Oversee the submission and management of bank guarantees, resolving any related financial issues. Coordinate with the finance team to ensure proforma invoicing is accurate and timely. ****Compliance And Regulatory Management:**** Submit annual coal procurement certificates, coordinating with the power sales team and discoms. Prepare and submit affidavits confirming coal procurement for legitimate PPAs to Coal India subsidiaries and the Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA) cell. Manage coal auction processes and resolve any issues related to compliance or regulatory standards. Ensure all regulatory submissions, including GST (Goods and Service tax)\-related undertakings, are processed accurately and on time. Address any discrepancies in coal grades or quality by issuing credit and debit notes in coordination with Coal India subsidiaries. ****Operational Coordination And Day\-to\-Day Management:**** Conduct daily meetings with the head office and mine locations for operational planning and execution. Oversee daily coal logistics and operations at mine sites to ensure timely coal delivery and adherence to schedules. Conduct regular site visits to ensure smooth coal logistics and benchmark performance against industry standards. Address operational challenges related to coal quality and supply chain issues, making necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency. Represent Adani in various coal and rail\-related committees, negotiating and resolving any challenges faced in coal transportation and logistics. Ensure that all operational concerns are escalated and addressed effectively with relevant authorities. ****Reconciliation And Dispute Resolution:**** Manage the issuance and reconciliation of credit and debit notes when coal quality or grades differ from agreed\-upon standards. Ensure timely adjustments to financial records or future orders to maintain accurate reconciliation processes. Work closely with Coal India subsidiaries and regulatory bodies to resolve any disputes related to overloading penalties, loading times, or contractual obligations. Ensure proper documentation and resolution of any issues affecting fuel procurement or logistics. ****Digitisation And Automation:**** Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimise operational efficiency. Implement automation solutions to support overall organisational goals / strategy. Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas. ****People And Team Engagement:**** Participate in the recruitment process to attract and retain skilled personnel for the team. Enhance employee engagement across the team to sustain a positive workplace culture. Lead, inspire and mentor the team to foster a high\-performance culture and ensure cross skilling through job rotation, technical and behavioural trainings. Ensure proper succession planning in the team. Tech ****Work Experience (Range Of Years):**** Minimum of 15 years of experience in power plant operations and coal logistics is preferred. ****Preferred Industry:**** Background in Power and Utilities sector with knowledge of the energy sector’s operational and regulatory frameworks is preferred.
