Job Description
**Responsibilities** * Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans covering civil engineering aspects including site preparation, foundation works, structural elements, and finishing activities, ensuring timely delivery within allocated budgets. * Coordination and Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between the design team, contractors, vendors, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, technical specifications, and schedules. * Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement rigorous quality control processes, conduct site inspections, and enforce adherence to national and international codes and standards as well as environmental and safety regulations. * Resource Management: Efficiently manage manpower, materials, and machinery on site to maximize productivity and optimize resource utilization while minimizing wastage. * Cost Control and Reporting: Monitor project expenditure, analyze variances, and prepare regular progress reports to senior management, recommending corrective actions when necessary. * Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential civil engineering risks during all phases of the project lifecycle and develop proactive mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted progress. * Contract Management: Support procurement and contract administration activities, review contractor submissions, and ensure contractual obligations are met as per company policies. * Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and adherence to Adani’s values of ownership and excellence. * Sustainability and Innovation: Promote sustainable construction practices and encourage innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes while minimizing environmental impact. * Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulatory authorities, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and reinforce Adani’s commitment to social responsibility. Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university; Master’s degree is an advantage. Certification Required * Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred. * Relevant safety and quality management certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001\) will be an added advantage. Behavioural Skills * Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and motivate teams. * Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities. * Analytical mindset with problem\-solving aptitude. * High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to Adani’s core values. * Adaptability to dynamic environments and openness to continuous learning. Technical Skills * Deep knowledge of civil engineering design and construction principles specific to power and energy infrastructure. * Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent. * Experience with AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or other civil engineering design tools. * Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and structural analysis. * Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable construction methods. * Competency in preparation and evaluation of technical specifications, drawings, and reports. Non\-Negotiable Skills * Project Management Expertise * Strong Civil Engineering Technical Knowledge * Effective Communication and Stakeholder Management **Qualifications** Educational Qualification Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university; Master’s degree is an advantage. **Experience** 6\-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering project management within the power/energy industry.
