Assistant Manager - Cafe/Restaurant

**Job Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily/evening operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality, food preparation, and team management to develop their skills within a vibrant environment. **Duties** * Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including coffee, cocktails, and meals, adhering to quality standards. * Support the supervision of junior staff and contribute to team management to ensure smooth service delivery. * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including kitchen, dining space, and storage areas. * Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. * Serve customers courteously, taking orders accurately and providing excellent hospitality. * Assist in stock control, including inventory checks and replenishment of supplies. * Handle cash register operations and process payments accurately. **Requirements** * Proven experience in hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel experience. * Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes. * Previous supervising or team management experience is desirable. * Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast\-paced environment. * Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanour. * Ability to work well within a team and support colleagues as needed. * Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. * A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and responsibilities within the café setting.
