### **Assistant Director of Care ( RN)**
Long\-Term Care \| Day Shift
Winnipeg, MB
The Assistant Director of Care (ADOC) plays a key leadership role in supporting high\-quality resident care, staff performance, and clinical operations during evening hours. This position works closely with the Director of Care to ensure continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and a strong team culture in a long\-term care environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide clinical and operational leadership during evening shifts
* Support and mentor nursing staff to ensure safe, resident\-centred care
* Oversee staffing levels, scheduling adjustments, and call\-ins
* Act as the on\-site clinical resource for complex resident care issues
* Support care planning, documentation standards, and quality improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, policies, and LTC standards
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices and resident safety
* Participate in incident management, investigations, and follow\-up as required
**Qualifications**
* Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration in Manitoba
* Previous leadership experience in long\-term care or a similar healthcare setting
* Strong clinical knowledge and decision\-making skills
* Excellent communication, coaching, and problem\-solving abilities
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast\-paced environment
* Knowledge of provincial LTC legislation and standards is an asset
