**The Opportunity**
**We’re seeking an Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager**
to become a pivotal member of our internal accounting team. Reporting directly to the VP Finance, you’ll play an instrumental role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, and strong internal controls. The role also provides administrative and analytical support to order management and inventory control teams.

**What You’ll Do**
**Financial Reporting \& Accounting**
* Support critical components of the month\-end and year\-end close processes (journal entries, bank reconciliations, government remittances for sales taxes).
* Assist with financial reporting for the U.S. wholesale entity, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
* Prepare and analyze key financial statements, including balance sheets and income statement reports.
* Maintain accurate general ledger records and assist in audit preparation.
* Overview and support for AP and AR
**Sales \& Inventory Reporting**
* Own weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales reporting for leadership and cross\-functional teams.
* Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to standardize metrics.
* Ensure seamless alignment between order data, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
* Provide executive\-level reporting to leadership with clear, actionable insights.
**Order Management \& Inventory Controls**
* Provide administrative and accounting support for order processing, invoicing, and payment tracking.
* Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to maintain inventory accuracy and cost control.
* Assist in the reconciliation of inventory between systems and physical counts.
**Administrative \& Cross\-Functional Support**
* Support the VP Finance with documentation, scheduling, and project coordination.
* Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Operations) and external partners (banks, auditors, vendors).
* Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
**What You Bring to the Team**
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
* Minimum
**5 years of progressive accounting experience**
; retail or wholesale industry experience is a strong asset.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros)
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast\-paced environment.
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of organization in one’s work.
* Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret financial data, communicate insights to leadership and identify process improvements.
* Bilingual (French and English), written and spoken.
