Accounting Professional (UK working hours)

Core Requirement – Strong Accounting Fundamentals Are Essential This role is **not just a data\-entry bookkeeping position**. We are specifically looking for someone with **strong core accounting knowledge** who understands the principles behind the numbers. To succeed in this role, you must have a solid grasp of: * double\-entry bookkeeping * bank reconciliations * trial balance and ledger accuracy * VAT principles * accounting records and supporting documentation * the discipline to prepare work accurately for review by a UK team If your experience is mainly administrative and does not include strong accounting fundamentals, this role will not be the right fit. This emphasis aligns directly with the job specification’s essential requirement for solid bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT understanding, and progression into accounts preparation work. Key Responsibilities * Perform bookkeeping for UK clients using cloud accounting software * Process supplier invoices, sales invoices, receipts, and bank transactions accurately * Complete bank reconciliations and maintain clean accounting records * Prepare VAT working papers and draft VAT returns for UK review * Support accounts preparation to trial balance as your role develops * Follow firm checklists, SOPs, and quality standards on every job * Manage deadlines and communicate clearly with the UK team through Microsoft Teams * Raise queries early and ensure all work is review\-ready before submission Must\-Have Requirements * Recognised accounting qualification such as **ACCA, ACCA Affiliate, part\-qualified ACCA, CA, CA Inter, MCom**, or similar * **Strong core accounting knowledge is a must** * Good understanding of double\-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and VAT * 1–2 years of practical experience in accounting or cloud bookkeeping preferred * Experience using at least **two cloud accounting/bookkeeping platforms** * Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken * Ability to work independently from home with reliability and discipline * Comfortable learning UK systems, processes, and accounting workflows quickly Preferred Experience * Experience with **QuickBooks Online, Xero, FreeAgent, or Sage** * Exposure to UK accounting, UK tax, or IFRS * Experience with accounts preparation software such as **Iris Elements** * Familiarity with practice management systems such as **Bright Manager, Senta, or Karbon** * Previous experience working remotely for a UK or international company Pay: ₹40,000\.00 \- ₹50,000\.00 per month Experience: * Core Accounting: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
