Our team is collaborative, results\-oriented, and focused on building best\-in\-class products that drivers trust every day. **Location:** Richmond Hill \| In\-office **The Opportunity** TuxMat is seeking a detail\-oriented and hands\-on Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, this role supports core accounting operations, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and month\-end close activities. This is a highly operational role suited for someone who is comfortable working in the details while contributing to accurate financial reporting and process improvements in a fast\-paced environment. **Compensation** **Salary range: $60,000\-70,000 (all\-inclusive)** **Key Responsibilities** • Manage day\-to\-day accounting activities using QuickBooks Online • Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness • Prepare and review account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies • Support month\-end close processes, including journal entries and account analysis • Assist in preparing internal financial reports and schedules • Assist with US sales tax reporting and account setup\-related tasks  • Support budgeting and forecasting by tracking expenses and variances • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation • Assist the Senior Accountant with ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed **Qualifications** • 1–3\+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role • Hands\-on experience with QuickBooks Online required • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals (AP, AR, reconciliations, journal entries) • Experience supporting month\-end close activities is an asset • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies • Clear and effective communication skills • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred • Pursuit of an accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is an asset
