Accountant

StevenDouglas Interim Project Services\-South Florida has partnered with a leading forward thinking company with a multi\-billion\-dollar valuation, to identify a high\-impact Project Accountants for an immediate need. **About the Role** : You’ll play a key role during a critical period, supporting core accounting functions and helping drive stability, accuracy, and process improvement within a forward\-thinking, technology\-driven team. **Responsibilities** : * Manage full\-cycle accounting activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month\-end close processes * Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year\-end financial statements in accordance with GAAP * Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership * Maintain and improve the general ledger structure to support scalability and reporting needs * Demonstrate strong expertise in debits, credits, and accrual\-based accounting with high attention to detail * Own balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve discrepancies * Leverage ERP systems and automation tools to streamline accounting workflows * Quickly ramp up and take ownership of critical accounting functions with minimal supervision * Provide stability and continuity during a transitional period * Deliver immediate impact while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic environment **Qualifications** : * CPA or equivalent strongly preferred * Proven experience in a large public company environment * Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements * Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands\-on execution * Comfortable working in fast\-paced, evolving, and technology\-driven environment * Must be available immediately for a 6\+ month project **If you or someone in your network is interested, feel free to message me directly at vrigal@stevendouglas.com** \#AccountingJobs \#RemoteJobs \#CPA \#FinanceCareers \#HiringNow \#InterimJobs \#ProjectAccounting \#JDedwards \#OracleE
