Job Description
**As a Nordic Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong financial governance across our Nordic entities. You will work closely with multiple teams across the business, providing insights that support decision making and contribute to PUMA’s continued growth in the region.**
**In this role you will report to the Team Head Financial Controlling and be an important partner in driving financial excellence.**
**What You Will Do**
* Ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting in line with PUMA guidelines, local legislation and accounting standards across the Nordic entities
* Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly closing and reporting within defined deadlines
* Manage external reporting including VAT, tax reporting and annual reports
* Support external and internal audits and ensure compliance across processes
* Deliver timely, meaningful and accurate analyses that support business insights and decision making
* Contribute to budget, forecast, rolling forecast and mid term planning processes
* Collaborate closely with teams across the business to ensure data accuracy and financial transparency
* Identify opportunities to improve financial controlling processes and proactively drive solutions
* Provide guidance and mentoring to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams
* Support the business with ad hoc financial analysis and projects
**Your Talent**
We are looking for someone who combines strong financial expertise with a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach.
*You likely bring:*
• 5–7 years of relevant experience within finance or financial controlling
• A degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (relevant work experience may compensate for formal education)
• Strong knowledge of Nordic accounting standards and IFRS
• The ability to work cross functionally and proactively develop solutions in a dynamic environment
• A business oriented and results driven mindset
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Solid experience with SAP R/3 and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Financial Planning Tools is a plus
• Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language
• Experience within retail, wholesale or FMCG is an advantage
