Accountant

Our client is a forward\-thinking investment firm based in Dubai, UAE, specializing in commercial enterprises and management. They focus on identifying and supporting high\-potential businesses, providing strategic investment, and offering expert management services to drive growth and long\-term success. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail\-oriented **Accountant** to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statutory and management reports, and looking after accounts payable and receivable. The accountant will play a key role in ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * **General Ledger Management:** Maintain the general ledger, record journal entries, and reconcile accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. * **Accounts Payable \& Receivable:** Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile intra\-group balances and resolve discrepancies. * **Financial Reporting:** Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS). * **Tax Preparation:** Assist in the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. * **Budgeting \& Forecasting:** Collaborate with departments to prepare and monitor budgets, and provide financial analysis to support business decision\-making. * **Audit Support:** Assist in internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed. * **Compliance \& Regulation:** Stay up\-to\-date with changes in accounting regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance. **Required Skills \& Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * 5 years of experience in accounting or finance. * **Proficiency in 1C accounting software.** * **Fluency in English and Russian languages** * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (Russian GAAP and IFRS). * Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Preferred Qualifications:** * CPA, ACCA or equivalent. * Knowledge of advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP). * Experience with financial analysis and forecasting.
