Accountant

**Our client is a** fast\-growing, highly agile international trading business specializing in agrochemicals across African and emerging markets. Location: Dubai, UAE Reporting To: Operational Management Accountant **Role Overview** We are seeking an **Accountant** to support the Operational Management Accountant in managing day\-to\-day accounting, inventory tracking, and financial reporting within a fast\-paced international trading environment. The role will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting stock monitoring, and preparing operational reports to support business decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** * Aged Payables/Receivables: Monitor and manage the Aging Report to ensure timely collections and strategic payment scheduling. * Daily Bank Feed Matching: Reconcile daily bank statements against the general ledger to ensure all cash inflows and outflows are captured. * Payment Allocation: Precisely match incoming payments to specific sales invoices and outgoing payments to purchase orders. * Unreconciled Item Tracking: Identify and resolve long\-standing unreconciled items (e.g., bank fees, missing entries) to ensure the trial balance is current. * Stock Valuation \& Adjustment: Conduct regular physical\-to\-digital stock counts and process inventory adjustments for shrinkage, damage, or returns. * Odoo: Manage the seamless flow of data between the Odoo Sales, Purchase, and Inventory modules * Record financial transactions, including purchase invoices, sales invoices, and supplier payments. * Support inventory tracking and reconciliation across warehouses and shipments. * Assist in preparing weekly/monthly financial and operational reports. * Maintain accounts payable and receivable records and assist with reconciliations. * Support month\-end closing activities and maintain proper financial documentation. **Requirements** * **Must have Odoo experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. * 3\+ years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, logistics, or FMCG. * Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems. * Part\-qualified or pursuing \*\*CIMA / ACCA is preferred. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast\-paced environment.
