We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, managing a variety of accounting files, and contributing to a collaborative and supportive firm environment. **About the Role** As an Accountant at TKLL LLP, you will support a portfolio of small business clients and assist with financial reporting, tax compliance, and day\-to\-day accounting functions. You will work directly with managers and partners while gaining exposure to a wide range of client engagements. This is a great opportunity for someone with public practice experience who enjoys working with entrepreneurs and wants to continue developing their accounting expertise within a growing boutique firm. **What You’ll Be Doing** * Maintain financial records including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll * Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and ensure transaction accuracy * Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports * Support month\-end and year\-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements * Complete compilation engagements * Assist with personal and corporate tax filings (nice to have but not required) * Prepare and file GST/HST returns, T4s, T5s, and other tax slips * Act as a primary contact for clients and attend meetings alongside managers when required * Support client onboarding and ongoing client communication * Collaborate with the team on process improvements and technology implementations * Assist with other accounting and bookkeeping tasks as needed **Technology We Use** * QuickBooks Online (QBO) * Xero * Dext * HubDoc * Plooto * Wagepoint * Microsoft Office * Slack **What We’re Looking For** * Minimum 3 years of experience in a public accounting firm * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field * CPA candidate or interest in pursuing CPA is considered an asset * Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and journal entries * Experience with cloud\-based accounting software and Microsoft Excel * Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management * Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients * Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously * Interest in working with entrepreneurs and small business clients **Why Join Us** * Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 per year, depending on experience * Health Spending Account (HSA) * CPA annual dues covered * Opportunity to work directly with partners and gain broad client exposure * Exposure to a wide variety of clients and industries * Supportive environment focused on professional development and growth Location: Calgary, AB Employment Type: Full\-time, Permanent
