Our client Gondal Construction Company is looking for a Accountant \- Financial Reporting \& Compliance in Islamabad Gondal Construction Company is seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented Accountant / Accounts Officer to oversee daily accounting functions and maintain precise financial records. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, managing the general ledger, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards such as IFRS and GAAP. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry, and be proficient in Excel and various accounting software tools. The position does not include team management Responsibilities but requires strong individual capability in maintaining accurate bookkeeping and supporting audit processes. In this role, the Accountant / Accounts Officer supports the preparation of financial statements, assists with internal and external audits, and works closely with procurement and logistics teams to validate and process invoices. The candidate must be adept at financial analysis and maintaining thorough documentation while adhering to company policies and applicable accounting principles. Clear attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential to successfully fulfill the Responsibilities involved in this position. **Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate manual books of accounts, ensuring detailed and precise record\-keeping for all financial transactions. * Manage daily accounting operations such as processing receipts, payments, and recording journal entries with accuracy and timeliness. * Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to monitor cash flow and confirm balances across cash and bank accounts. * Track vendor payments by verifying invoice details and ensuring that all supporting documents are complete and received promptly. * Assist in preparing financial statements including the Income Statement and Balance Sheet, ensuring compliance with recognized financial reporting standards like IFRS and GAAP. * Support internal and external audit activities by preparing necessary working papers, documentation, and responding to auditors requests. * Maintain proper filing systems to organize financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. * Collaborate with procurement and logistics departments to review, verify, and process vendor invoices efficiently and accurately. * Ensure full compliance with tax laws, corporate policies, and accounting principles throughout all accounting functions and reporting activities. * Utilize MS Excel and accounting software tools effectively for ledger management, spreadsheet analysis, and financial data organization. * Demonstrate strong analytical skills by identifying discrepancies and resolving accounting issues to maintain financial integrity. * Prioritize and manage multiple accounting tasks and deadlines to support timely financial reporting and operational efficiency.
