Our client Science Centre is looking for a Accountant \- Entry Level in Rawalpindi The Junior Accountant at Science Centre plays a vital role in maintaining the organizations financial integrity by ensuring precise and timely bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable financial regulations. This position requires strong expertise in financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger management, and the proficient use of accounting software. The Junior Accountant contributes to accurate preparation of financial statements, tax documentation, and bank reconciliations while supporting the organization in sound financial decision\-making. The ideal candidate possesses at least three years of relevant experience and demonstrates excellent command of Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems, with attention to detail and analytical abilities being essential. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires proactive collaboration with various departments to collect financial data and ensure seamless accounting operations across the Science Centre. In this role, the Junior Accountant executes essential accounting functions independently while identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes and internal controls. The position demands a thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices, tax regulations, and financial procedures to maintain compliance and accuracy. The Junior Accountant actively participates in all aspects of accounting activities, from invoice processing and bank reconciliation to tax filing preparation and generating detailed financial reports. The role is critical in supporting budgeting, fiscal monitoring, and strategic planning through accurate and timely financial data analysis. The Junior Accountant ensures the Science Centres finances are reliable and transparent, facilitating optimal organizational performance and sustainable financial health. **Responsibilities** * Prepare and analyze financial statements that comply with established accounting principles and organizational guidelines. * Manage and maintain the general ledger by accurately recording all financial transactions and regularly reconciling accounts. * Effectively use accounting software to input, process, and verify invoices, payments, and other financial documentation. * Carry out tax preparation tasks, ensuring all filings are completed accurately and submitted according to statutory deadlines. * Maintain precise accounts payable and accounts receivable records, ensuring all transactions are documented and up to date. * Conduct frequent bank and account reconciliations to promptly identify and correct any discrepancies. * Generate comprehensive financial reports that aid in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision\-making processes. * Track and monitor organizational expenditures and income streams to evaluate and sustain financial stability. * Collaborate closely with internal teams to obtain necessary financial information and resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues. * Leverage advanced Microsoft Excel skills to build spreadsheets, conduct detailed data analysis, and prepare insightful reports. * Assist in the continual development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems to improve efficiency and compliance. * Stay informed about updates and changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory requirements relevant to the Science Centre's operations.
