**Construction Accountant** **Position Overview** We're a well\-established contractor with over 30 years of history and are seeking a detail\-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting, particularly in work in progress and payroll management, and will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting project financial activities. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage and oversee work in progress accounting for construction projects. * Prepare and maintain financial ledgers and records. * Process payroll and ensure accurate employee compensation. * Utilize Excel for data analysis and financial modeling. * Assist with project setup and administration for construction projects. * Handle billing and invoicing processes, including customer billing and progress billing. * Support contract management and project closeout activities. * Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries and discrepancies. * Resolve discrepancies in financial records and perform payment application support. * Maintain compliance documentation and assist with portal submissions for financial reports. * Ensure accurate data entry and record keeping for all financial transactions. * Support month\-end closing processes and financial reporting efforts. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. * 3\+ years experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of work in progress accounting and payroll processes. * Proficiency in Excel and accounting software. * Experience with project setup and administration is a plus. * Ability to communicate effectively with customers and resolve discrepancies. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Knowledge of compliance documentation and accounting regulations. **Benefits** Medical insurance Dental insurance Life insurance 401k Plan Paid holidays Paid Time Off Company events Career training and development **Email Your Resume In Word To** Daniel.Chavez@CyberCoders.com Looking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
