Accountant

**Job Title:** Accountant (Temp\-to\-Perm) **Location:** \[Charlotte, NC / Hybrid] **Overview** We are partnering with a growing real estate investment and development platform focused on residential and mixed\-use assets across high\-growth markets. The firm is actively expanding its portfolio and development pipeline and is seeking an Accountant on a temp\-to\-perm basis to support that growth. This is an opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial team with exposure across acquisitions, development, and asset management, with a clear path to a permanent role. **Why This Role Exists** • Growth across the investment and development pipeline • Increased complexity across entities and projects • Immediate need for accounting support with long\-term hiring intent • Opportunity to help scale internal processes and reporting **Key Responsibilities** • Maintain general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations • Support month\-end and quarter\-end close processes • Assist with financial reporting across multiple entities and projects • Manage AP/AR and track cash activity • Support construction draws, job cost tracking, and capital activity • Partner with internal teams across development, acquisitions, and operations • Assist with audits, tax preparation, and lender/investor reporting **Must\-Have Requirements** • 2–5\+ years of accounting experience • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Strong understanding of GAAP • Experience with month\-end close • Proficiency in Excel **Nice\-to\-Have** • Real estate, development, or property accounting experience • Exposure to construction accounting or job cost tracking • Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar systems • CPA or CPA\-track **Ideal Profile** • Detail\-oriented and organized • Comfortable in a fast\-paced, evolving environment • Able to manage multiple entities or projects simultaneously • Strong communicator with a team\-first mindset • Interested in long\-term growth within a real estate platform **Work Environment** • Lean, collaborative team environment • High visibility and exposure to leadership • Opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of real estate investments **Conversion Opportunity** This role is structured as **temp\-to\-perm** , with the expectation of converting to a full\-time position based on performance and team fit.
