Job Description
Bonaccord Capital Partners (“BCP”) is a private equity firm focused on acquiring non\-control equity interests in mid\-market private markets sponsors, including private equity, private credit, real estate and real assets.
Bonaccord Capital Partners is seeking an
**Accountant**
for its management company to have primary responsibility on the day\-to\-day accounting. In this position, the Accountant will report directly to the CFO of Bonaccord Capital Partners, work alongside a Finance team member and support Controllers of BCP’s investment funds as needed.
This role provides significant exposure to senior management and the opportunity to establish and own Accounting procedures for the growing Management Company. This is a compelling opportunity to join a growing private equity manager with the potential for substantial professional development. The role requires working knowledge of Accounting rules, preferably for a financial services management company. Candidates need to be independent workers that can be trusted with sensitive data.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Accounting**
* Book all entries to close books monthly with NetSuite software
* Understand the legal structure of the business to book income and expenses properly to underlying entities
* Prepare unaudited quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
* Coordinate consolidation of entries with publicly traded affiliate
* Serve as broader team resource to assist Fund Accounting team
**Expense Tracking**
* Summarize approved expenses and track spending across business lines
* Properly allocate expenses to management company and funds
**Finance**
* Work with Finance Associate to integrate actuals into forecasts and budget
* Provide variance analysis of actuals to budget / forecast
* Assist with preparation of quarterly materials for presentation to senior management
**Marketing Support**
* Support the preparation of marketing and communication efforts to existing investors
* Provide bespoke analysis and respond to diligence requests for prospective investors
**Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
* Internships and/or 1\+ year relevant work experience in big four public accounting, fund accounting, or similar experience; exposure to investment companies such as private equity, private credit, or other private markets strategies a plus
* Highly organized with strict attention to detail
* Effective communication and presentation skills
* Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
**Hybrid Work Environment**
* Must be able to work on\-site Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Wednesday and Friday are the standard work from home days, but you may need to work on\-site on these days based on business needs.
