The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional practice, a heart for discipleship, and a gift for making 5th and 6th\-grade math concepts, from fractions to early algebraic thinking, engaging, clear, and accessible. We are seeking a mission\-aligned educator who can cultivate both academic excellence and spiritual growth, guiding our upper\-elementary students through these formative years with a Christ\-centered perspective. **Primary Responsibilities** *Instruction \& Curriculum* * Plan and implement engaging, standards\-aligned instruction appropriate to the assigned grade level or specialty. * Deliver high\-quality instruction in core content areas, utilizing research\-based practices. * Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. * Integrate Biblical truth intentionally throughout instruction and classroom culture. * Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. *Classroom Culture \& Management* * Establish a structured, nurturing classroom environment grounded in Christ\-centered values. * Use positive behavior supports and developmentally appropriate expectations. * Cultivate a classroom community where students feel known, valued, and encouraged. *Assessment \& Communication* * Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress. * Analyze student data to inform instruction and support growth. * Communicate effectively and consistently with families regarding student progress and classroom expectations. *Collaboration \& Professional Growth* * Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum alignment and student outcomes. * Participate actively in professional development and schoolwide initiatives. * Model the mission, vision, and core values of Kansas City Christian School. *Christian Formation \& Student Support* * Support students’ spiritual development through prayer, Scripture, and Christlike modeling. * Encourage social\-emotional growth and healthy peer relationships. * Identify and respond to individual learning needs in partnership with families and support staff. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (required). * Current state teaching license or ACSI certification (required). * Experience teaching elementary students (preferred). * Strong Christian faith and active participation in a local evangelical church; able to provide a reference. * Commitment to integrating faith and learning in meaningful ways. * Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong partnerships with families. **Compensation \& Benefits** * Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. * Health insurance and retirement plan. * Ongoing professional development opportunities. * Tuition discounts for enrolled children (if applicable).
