2D Design Engineer – Automotive (SolidWorks Electrical)

Cavalier Group is seeking a motivated and detail\-oriented **Design Engineer** with **0–2 years of experience in the automotive industry** and strong proficiency in **SolidWorks Electrical** . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical schematics, harness layouts, and component integration for automotive systems. Key Responsibilities: 1\.   Created and maintained detailed **electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and 2D/3D harness designs** using CAD Modelling Software. 2\.   Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. 3\.   Support **vehicle\-level electrical architecture development** and assist in the selection of electrical components and systems. 4\.   Review and update **Bill of Materials (BOMs)** and other documentation related to electrical designs. 5\.   Participate in **design reviews, DFMEA sessions** , and troubleshooting activities during prototype builds and validation phases. 6\.   Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure **design feasibility and manufacturability** . 7\.   Assist in **change management processes** and ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and project requirements. Requirements: 1\.    **Bachelor's degree** in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. 2\.   0 **–2 years of professional experience** in the automotive industry. 3\.   Proven expertise in **SolidWorks Electrical** (schematic and 3D routing). 4\.   Strong understanding of **automotive electrical systems** , wiring harnesses, and vehicle architecture. 5\.   Familiarity with automotive standards such as **ISO 26262, IATF 16949** , and **ASME Y14\.5** is a plus. 6\.   Excellent **problem\-solving skills** , attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. 7\.   Effective communication skills to liaise with cross\-functional teams and external stakeholders.
